In these process, the wood is well sanded to a smooth feel with fine grit sandpaper and then grind the surface to create heat which will bring the natural teak oil inside the wood to come out for shiny looks. Oh, how I love teak! And this little, but handy, table does it for me. It came in about eleven days from the West Coast in a cardboard package that was smaller and lighter than I had been led to expect.

It only took ten minutes or so from the time I opened the package to screw in four bolts to secure the leg assembly to the top. Eh, voila! Simplicity itself.
